Description

Rand’s actions begin to take effect as the world trembles at the cleansing of Saidin in Crossroads of Twilight, the tenth book in Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time fantasy series.

Summary of the Book

Rand al’Thor has managed to do the impossible. Together with Nynaeve al’Meara, he has managed to cleanse Saidin, the Male half of the One Power. However, the effort of his actions has taken a toll on Rand. As he tries to rest, the world does not slow down. Egwene al’Vere is in front of the White Tower, leading the rebel Aes Sedai as they scheme to overthrow the usurper Amyrlin Elaida. She knows that the union of the Tower is paramount. There can be no hope in the Last Battle if the Aes Sedai are divided in their purpose. However, can she quell the chaos in her own camp? Perrin Aybara finds himself on a wild hunt after the Shaido Aiel as he tries to find his beloved wife, Faile. The entire world shudders from the actions of Rand al’Thor, but the Last Battle grows closer than before. The seals on the Dark One’s prison have weakened, and he is about to reach out and touch the world once again. Can Rand keep the madness away long enough to face him and die for the sake of the world?
