What A Book!!

What a book. Mindblowing and superlative. Christie excels herself. Poirot is sick, old and crippled.......still his little grey cells are as sharp as they are and in his last case, he excels himself!!

This book is one of its kind. Sure, you have culprit(s), and murder(s) as in the rest of C…

Poirot's last case !!!

I read it & I felt a bit sad. Poirot dying is like an end of an era. Though i've read only 7-8 Poirot books so far but I have become a huge fan of his ' order & method'. Climax of book is not that great & Poirot feature less than usual in his last case. This book is more more about captain Hastings … (View complete review)

Curtain to an enthralling series

Well, this is the last of Poirot's cases - as blatantly pointed out by the tagline on the cover. The book as a whole is not much of a thriller, despite the fact that a murderer is on the lurk and a murder is assuredly expected. Then again, Poirot's last catch is no 'Professor Moriarty' - rather it i… (View complete review)

curtain closing: a good read

It is intelligent, and well written. A good finish to an amazing series of books by Agatha Christie. If you are a Hercule Poirot fan, then you will appreciate this valuable book.

Not such a good read.

This book was too slow from the beginning and the murder takes place after 200 pages of the book.It is just like Endless Night, where there is not much clues and investigation. This book was dull and not the usual, interesting Hercule Poirot book. Was quite boring.

********************************************SPOILER***************************************************

This climax was similar to the one in And Then There Were None.

Rousing conclusion to Poirot's career

As the title clearly says, this is Poirot's last case. So, it is definitely not the place to start with Agatha Christie or Poirot.

With that out of the way, this novel is exceedingly brilliant. We come to revisit familiar people and places in a typical locked house mystery. There are the usual assortment of English characters of different personalities. Then there is our hero Poirot and his ever faithful Hastings. The criminal mastermind X is unique in the author's work and possibly the first such characterization in fiction at the time of publication. Christie builds up the suspense througho

Curtain:Poirot's Last Case - The most delicious book by Christie

Written in the first-person narrative of Captain Hastings, this book is the best one by Dame Agatha Christie. I'm too baffled to tell you just how amazing this book is. Poor old Papa Poirot dies in this book, which is quite a shock. As always, the end intrigues one beyond measures. This book, however, is far more intriguing than the others ever written by the author. I don't want to spoil your reading experience by divulging anything... My verdict : Go for this. Thumbs up!

This book is one of its kind. Sure, you have culprit(s), and murder(s) as in the rest of Christie's but there the comparison ends. The culprit is a la Moriarty....matching wits with the great Belgian and winning the stakes too. The climax, when it comes, literally takes your breath away.

Just go for it!!

Perfect 5 for this one.

I read somewhere that Agatha Christie wrote it 30 years prior to her death & than locked this manuscript.

I can't decide if it is good or bad. May be I would have preferred a much more splendid and fast plot to end a crowning career and life.

Though you know beforehand that Poirot dies in the story, it is s

The book was excellent....made quite an interesting read....however the pleasure was marred by the incompetency displayed by flipkart to deliver the product at the doorstep despite repeated reminders.

The best agatha cristie book I have ever read!!!

If you have not read much of Agatha Cristie's books then I would not recommend this to you...But if have read a few and have some idea about his work then I simply say that this book is worth reading....this book reflects the class of Agatha Cristie and this closing book for Poirot's series really proves that she is the "queen of detective fiction"..
