D-Link DWM-156 HSUPA 3.75G Data Card

Key facts:

5) Finally i give it 6 marks out of 10.

I will suggest pls go on huawei modem. i.e. No.1 Data Card Company.

i have been using this for around two months... and yeah , it disconnects..
There were no problems with docomo or bsnl , but with AIRCEL , it disconnects sometimes.. it may be coz of signal strengh . but overall performance is gud..

it has ,1. sms maneger , that too can recycle the deleted msgs...thats what i like the most...
2. can save mobile contacts, and has Micro sd card reader
3. has ussd facility
4.data usage statistics
5. gud setting manager
6. pdf user guide
7. good and hassle free installation

BUT... one thing , it does not support voice calls, when u call in that no it says swichted off...!
those who think that its not a drawback can surely go for it..

but , i think its gud b'coz it ensures gud connectivety..
finally , i will give it 7/10

The application that is D-Link Connection Manager Stops working after use of 3 hr. but internet can be access for 15 minutes thereafter, than full d-link DWM 156 stops working.
I have good network almost 3 bars of 5 in UMTS/HSPA network my service provider is Idea cellular and full network in GPRS in Idea Cellular.
I can't disconnect it from that application so I need to forcedly disconnect it from my Task Manager
I have bought it from the flipkart.com on 15 Jan 2013.
My System details are
Operating System windows 7 professional
Service pack 1
RAM 2 GB
Processor AMD Sempron(tm) 145 processor 2.80 GHz
To work properly I need to remove/eject d-link DWM 156 from the computer and then plug in again and again install it and use for 3 hr.
Sometimes this also doesn’t work.

3)In case of idle connection in D-link Connection Manager at Diagnostics everything becomes unknown and I think this lead to disconnection.

I would have thought a company like D-Link would get its fact correct, and not fool the customers about the specifications. I purchased this a week ago and had to return it today to flipkart owing to false claims on specifications. Flipkart was gracious to accept the item back, though the fault as I see was not completely theirs. The adapter's cover packet claims it works with Mac OS 10.5 and above. So it says also in the FAQ page of the product on the D-Link website. But you open the specifications page where the product is listed on the D-Link site, and it makes a claim of this product's compatibility with Mac OS 10.4 and above, which unfortunately is what Flipkart also reports. Irresponsible on D-Link's part is probably not the right word of chastisement!

With a trendy look and high speed I appreciate this product; but it always disconnects frequently with an interval of 30 minutes to 1 hour. Initial installation speed is okay and as far as the performance is concerned it is damn good. But I am highly disappointed with this frequent disconnection while I was booking a ticket through online. I have a reliance 3G connection and don't know the fault of service provider or the data card. Moreover the product is above average.
