Dancing with Maharaja

Wonderful.. Awe-inspiring

Yes, Wonderful is the word which first comes to my mind after reading it. I have to admit the day I got this book in courier I started reading that afternoon and didn't really bothered about anything unless I finished it. So YES, it is quite involving and with the simple yet descriptive language it transformed me into the world of Satish.
Sundar has done a good job in gradually building up the story and providing reader with kind of 3D view of whats happening aroun...

Sundar has done an excellent job in depicting the life of an IAS aspirant in Rajinder Nagar
i myself went to a coaching institute in Rajinder Nagar and I could relive those moments and revisit those places through this book. wonderful job.

Dancing with Maharaja

Dear Sundar,
Congratulations on your first book, 'Dancing with Maharaja'. We hope it is one of many more novels to come.
This book has been explicitly written and the detailed accounts are beautifully described. As a reader my imagination was running along side the book page by page.
The suttle humour is great. Easy reading and well understood by an 'Indian' reader.
The most touching feature I found was how a father channelled his son to taking on responsibilities without pressurising him and...

Dancing With Maharaja

When ordinary people do extraordinary things, it becomes an inspiration for many. There are many autobiographies and stories on civil servants but the travails of the lakhs of aspirations are often untold.'Dancing With Maharaja' fittingly fills the void. This surrealistic story contains all the masala to keep the readers glued till the end. It's difficult to believe that the novel is penned by a first time author. Good work.

makes a good reading

good price, and makes a good reading ,interesting and short, u can finish it in one sitting. But I wish some details are more elaborate like the Orissa incident and much is left to speculate what happens. Would recommend.

a fantastic debut novel

Dancing With Maharaja, a fantastic debut novel by a prolific writer Sundar. Every generation of fathers impose their dreams upon their progeny .Satish, the protagonist is also not exception, and he too ran after chasing his father’s dream relinquishing his own ambitions. The novel narrates the journey of a hopeless and pampered son of a rich liquor contractor to his achievement of becoming IAS. The story is well written in lucid languages. The readers nowhere feel boredom while the flowing in...

positive book

"Life is perpetually creative because it contains in itself that surplus which ever overflows the boundaries of the immediate time and space, restlessly pursuing its adventure of expression in the varied forms of self-realization".

Unputdownable!

A lovely tale well told! Written in a gripping fashion, the book weaves in a fair bit of suspense with a nice feel good storyline. Particularly liked the bits where the storyline was left hanging, for the reader to figure it out. Not only does this charming book resonate with everyone who has been through the civil service examination grind, bringing back bitter-sweet memories, but it also appeals to any young reader. In short, 'Dancing with the Maharajas' is 'unputdownable'; and an awesome f...
