  • Description

The Day the Crayons Quit, authored by Drew Daywalt and the international bestseller illustrator and artist Oliver Jeffers, is The Number One New York Times Bestseller! It is compiled for children, to encourage them play with crayons and colours.

    Summary of the Book

Debut author Drew Daywalt has teamed up with Oliver Jeffers to compile a colourful book which works as an answer to a crayon-based crisis in a lively, inventive story. It will have children amused and playing with their crayons in a completely innovative way. The story is of a boy called Duncan who just wants to play around with colours. But whenever he opens his box of crayons, he only discovers letters, all of which just say: We quit! The colour Beige seems to be exhausted of being the second fiddle to Brown, Pink just wishes to be used while Blue badly yearns for a pause from tinting in all that water every time. Green is composed unlike other colours and has no complaints whatsoever, but Orange and Yellow are not on talking terms with each other! Now what need to be drawn are the battle lines! Own a copy of The Day the Crayons Quit to find out what Duncan does to solve this problem, and in turn how the story makes your child delightful.

    Such a fun book!

My 5 year old had a great time reading this book! He's pretty averse to colouring but this book encourages creative thinking and adds humour to the task.

    Interesting book, great story

This book grabs the imagination of the little child. Children will thoroughly enjoy the illustrations, and the lovely story. It has great relevance and can teach children a few lessons, even though based on a box of crayons, it makes children realize that everyone has feelings, and everyone should be cared for. It's a book about finding solutions to your problems, however big they may seem, assuming responsibility for your actions.

All this in a simple book about the character Duncans box o...

    Such a fabulous book!

We are Oliver Jeffers fan! And this book with him as the illustrator doesn't disappoint either :) What happens when one day you go to get your crayons to draw something ad instead of your crayons, you find a bunch of letters from them? It is a hilarious book.
