In the wake of the implementation of major economic reforms and a new global order, TERI feels that the time has come for India to reorient its strategy on energy development. The new approach must integrate priorities for all relevant stakeholders and beneficiaries in meeting energy demands sustainably. Such an integrated energy strategy can impart a long-term vision for sustainable economic development in India. This document reflects TERI's thinking and analysis on this subject. Different energy forms must be priced within an integrated, market-determined framework, which upholds concerns of equity, social justice, environmental protection, and energy security. Regulatory bodies functioning in tandem can catalyse consistency across sectors.Paperback Used Book
