Pros:
1. Sharp display with great detail.
2. Lots of options to customize the viewing experience. (Horizontal or Vertical)

1. Does not have HDMI port.

So beautiful
If you write code while reading documentation, don't subject yourself to the Alt-Tab hell. Get a bigger monitor like this, or even better 2. I have only used this for a day, but Anand Tech has a great in depth review on this product which you should read.

Nice but strong LED bleed...
Very nice monitor but because of its size, the whitish LED glow is very strong when your screen displays dark colours. This is not specific to Dell. Most IPS monitors seem to have it but it is particularly pronounced in this model.
Otherwise, it is a great monitor at a great price. I would recommend it for somebody who is in the market for an IPS monitor that doesn't break the bank.

Good Monitor for day-to-day use
I connected it with my desktop on Windows 7 and Windows XP. Easy to setup, better to install drivers from CD available with monitor box. I'm using it from last 4 months.
Pros:
Good for Net Surfing, software programmers and Graphics editing.
Text are crystal clear better than other monitors. White color is proper white.
We get extra 5-6 lines during net surfing and while writing software code because of 16:10 display. It is missing in other LED/LCD monitors because of 16:9 display.

Excellent viewing experience
16:10 aspect ratio, meant a resolution of 1920 x 1200, as compared to regular 1920 x 1080 , giving more reading reading lines. PDFs, code and emails appear awesome at this ratio.
the panel is also clear compared to my earlier Viewsonic monitor. I would recommend this anytime. Just note that it does not have HDMI, but as a desktop monitor, it is not something to miss greatly. Controls are intuitive and easy to operate.

amazing color, and good to have the extra resolution
good, color reproduction , large comfortable screen, non glossy , no reflections / glare, full HD plus extra 120 pixels vertical which is very useful for many image editing and Animation applications,

Good Monitor
My nature of work - CAD
I use a HP ZR24W at office and wanted something similar but at a reasonable cost.
The Dell Ultra-Sharp 24" Monitor is a sweet deal. The HP monitor comes at 34K approx but when compared i would give Dell a 8 / 10
Resolution 1920x1200 which is good (same as HP)
Brightness is 300 nits....which is good (400 nits in HP)
HDMI port was missing but hell, at this price i don't wanna nag like a B****

big monitor with matte finish screen
Well I am software developer so I wanted a monitor which more height and not just more in width. It is quite a big for monitor. Hardly any webpage occupies full space of the monitor . I don't watch videos on this monitor so I don't know about video display.
Good thing about this is , screen is NOT glossy so you don't see reflection of yourself .
