Good performance
First of all Excellent work done by Flipkart by shipping this product within 24 hours of ordering (in Kanpur itself).
Second I used this hard disk and I was able to transfer 57GB data within 37 minutes(on USB2.0),,, so about 26MBps. I've not used hard disks from other manufacturers like Buffalo, Seagate, WD, so I won't be able to give you a comparative analysis but as for now I am satisfied with it's perfo...

you will get a speed of 30mb/s at usb 2.0 port at an average..
not tried at usb 3.0
my recommendation is just go for it ,it will be a more than satisfieable product for you.
only thing i am not very satisfied with the length of usb cable

do not buy this if you are clumsy, or if you shove a lot of things into a bagpack and the road is bumpy. go for the rubber padded transcend portable hd instead. this does not react well to hard objects rubbing against its surface.

There average data transfer speed has been around 40-50 Mbps. The highest has definitely surpassed 100 Mbps, when no other applications are running on the system.
