According to my experience, I will tell that

"Don't go for Dell Laptops"

>> Reasons:

1) The Speakers:

I have seen two laptops with the speaker problems. The speaker just bursts when the vlc player's volume goes beyond 200%. Sometimes it permanently damages the speakers.

2) More size of Hard-disk

1 TB hard-disk risks the system performance. If the hard-disk is having 7200 rpm, then its OK but with 5400 rpm, it reduces the system performance as access speed is pretty more than processing speed.

3) Temperature :

There is no efficient technology for cooling the laptop. So it gets heated very much. Especially laptops with i5, high end graphics and 1 TB hard-disk will be more heated.

4) Hard-disk noise :

After a use of 1-2 years, the hard-disk starts making the noise that is audible. This seems irritating.

If you want the best laptops, go for Asus, Lenovo, Acer and Samsung.

Dear friends,last two i am user of dell laptop,i was used to suggests all my friends to buy lap so many of them bought now all we are suffering,it is coming with lots of problems.first one i want to tell that after the complete cover warranty your money will flow to dell.if you like it so much should extend warranty.for me and all friends its hinges is breaking,if you call and tell to technical support they will say tear and wear.and you have to go to service center and confirmation lots of trouble-wasting time and money.second thing is about its hard disc my 3 friends hard disc corrupted,they replaced Western Digital with Thoshiba.see dell techincal support is the one and only support they have its own technical problems they call it as -tools are down...
if you switch on fan the screen will vibrate that much thin!!!!.dont put fan in high speed screen may fly.we are students now hate DELL,promoting other laptops.i called dell and told all the stuffs simple answer-----SORRY---
one funny thing happend foe me is that when i am charging LED is glowing white and orange i called and asked one technial support he said your mother board gone have to replace (that time after 1 month of expiring warranty) with warranty it cost 15000 and he said i willl give a discount and total is 14500.!!!!
next day i called again another person attend the call his response -.......................
it is because back flow of current from charger as your battery life is almost over.
so two technicail have two answer for one problem...GREAT DELL

I have two dell laptops and for both I had to call service at least 10 times in first year of usage. One of laptop's charger got damaged after the warranty was over. I called dell and got to know that I will have to buy warranty of rs 8000 for a charger worth rs 2000. I did not buy that and after insisting that I will buy only charger, I was given a local companies name and asked to buy the charger from there. That local company took the money and delivered the charger in 5 months time and the laptop was dead during that time. When i called dell, i was put on hold for more than one hour and no body Took the call. Later I tried to find why dell did not sell me the charger and I found that dell does not have license to sell parts in india. They can only sell new products and not parts. If you need part you'll be stuck like me.

DO NOT BUY DELL PRODUCTS BECUASE THIER SERVICE IS BAD, THEY CAN NOT SELL PARTS IN INDIA AND HARDWARE QUALITY IS REALLY REALLY BAD.

I have been using this laptop for the last 6 months and till now ive not encountered any problem.
-4gb ram quite good.
-intel 2nd generation i5 nice processor.
-it has amd radeon 7570 if im not wrong which is pretty good for casual gamers.
-srs premium sound is nice.
-energy star.
_One bad thing is that it heats up a lot when playing games.
---Ive played games like NFS HOT PURSUIT,GTA4,MW3,BF3....
all on medium settings(without any lags).

CONCLUSION---IF GAMING MAKES UP LIKE 40% OF YOUR LAPTOP THEN ITS THE BEST BUT IF U WANT A PURE GAMING LAPTOP THEN PLEASE GO BACK.......

I am writing this review after using this laptop for 4 months.

After 2 months laptop hard disk got crashed and Dell is not worried about the data. They just replaced with a new hard disk.
Right after the service i see the issues one by one.

Hardware build quality is very poor.
Keypad is of waste quality. when you key in, one side of keypad will completely shakes.
Screen has folding problems.

When i complain about the post service issues the answer i got from customer care executives was "These are not any functional issues". The worst customer care experience i ever had. Dell doesn't have any brand value and they are not worried about maintaining brand name also.
