If you want a replacement for a Desktop for real multimedia experience, and just above middle level gaming [not hardcore, but yes, hard gaming..] then it's the right choice..!
Pros :
1. Obviously.. SOUND.. what the amazing sound it is.. No laptop beats it..!

Best performance at low cost.
Though don't expect to get a HDD (write speed) to exceed above 36MB/sec.. because you need to have SDD or in RAID mode to get past it.
When it comes to rendering (adobe photoshop) , it does it very very fast.
The amount of RAM would only be used when you use it for CPU or data extensive applications, like gaming or Rendering.
In the games arena, don't expect to...

A great laptop to have
1) Elegant design in brushed anodized aluminum which looks distinctive from many other plasticky laptops
2) Hardware is most uptodate with the option to select some of the most powerful processors and GPU options available
3) Value for performance. XPS is not a VFM brand but is known for performance. Here I would rate Dell XPS as the best bang for bucks when compared to high end offerings from Sony, HP and Lenovo (look for some great deals that popup time and again in their website!)

The sound is awsom so are the graphics. It is bulky, the battery life is very less. But this is what i expected with respect to the given configuration.
The best part is the dell complete cover package.I bought it from a dealer here.

Not Long-lasting
My configuration:
4 GB RAM, 1 GB nVidia graphics, 500 GB HDD, 15.6
Now, the reason why I put the title above is the nVidia component in the XPS machines. I guarantee you, the nVidia video card will crash in 1 to 1.5 years, and you will be told to replace the complete motherboard (since the video card is an integrated one) for almost 8k rupees. If you go for the warranty, atleast you can save some 5k rupees I guess.

Waste of Money, Very Pood High Definition Quality
Has Dual graphics cards, the NVIDIA graphics card works fine but the regular graphics card is Below-Par.
NOT Worth Wasting Time and Money on, My Pentium 4 gave me better clarity on desktop backgrounds.
I am in touch with DELL for 10 Days now still no resolution.
Basically you can get a similar graphics resolution laptop for Rs. 35000 - 40,000, except the NVIDIA feature.
