Destiny's Stereo

Frequently misdiagnosed due to its similarity to other mental health illnesses, there are approximately 33 million people with schizoaffective disorder and many others have never heard of it. It is a complex illness that combines episodes of a mood disorder such as Bipolar with the psychotic symptoms and delusions of schizophrenia. Breaking away from the traditional presentations of poetry books, Destinys Stereo, depicts the schizoaffective journey of a trumpeter named, Sapieus Holmes (who can subtlety be compared to homo sapiens' or the human race). With a philosophical undertone and the harmonic use of both poetry and prose, the book illustrates not only the psyche of Holmes but also the social, financial and spiritual toll it takes on his life. Each reader is allowed a chance to customize his or her reading experience by choosing how he or she wishes to approach the book: 1) a collection of poems 2) a love story or 3) a thesis of modern philosophy on life, love and death.
