Central America. Honduras, Guatemala. Home of evil-or at least it is to Devin, journeying there upon leaving his beloved wife and two sons home in Illinois. On a trip there, he gets caught up in a tangled web of extreme drugs, sex, violence, and even snuff films. And oh yeah, they want him to star in one himself! Devin must use every inner resource to battle the sadistic pursuit of people like Sergeant Lobo, old man Santos, and-worst of all-Captain Matrix. Seeing things no man should ever see, Devin discovers that it's not only a dog-eat-dog world-sometimes it's even a human-eat-human one. Constantly on the run, even when he retreats to the supposed safety of the American Embassy, he is not safe. Time and again he is thrust back into danger among people who are out for his blood-and who will seemingly stop at nothing to get it.
