It’s been 20 years since the Prime Evils were defeated; but now, a new Evil is about to rise. Every path leads back to the place where it all began- Tristram. Seeking to destroy the rumoured evil, you have to rise as a new generation hero who saves Tristram. In Diablo III, you are not just playing to win; you are playing to restore faith in everyone who has lost their belief in good.
The third instalment in the Diablo franchise is for hard-core gamers who like to immerse themselves in innovative and addictive gameplay. The action role-playing game DVD is available for the PC platform and has a Mature rating from ESRB.
Synopsis and Features
Sanctuary is at peace, but not for long. Evil has descended on Earth in a form of a falling star and is ready to wreak havoc on the land of Tristram. The heroes who saved the world are long gone. Now it’s your turn to stand up to your responsibility and try to save Tristram and Sanctuary.
Published and developed by Blizzard Entertainment, Diablo III packs in many new and interesting features that were unheard in the earlier instalments. The minimum system requirements for the game to run smoothly on your computer are Windows 7 or Vista, Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor, 2 GB RAM, 12 GB of free space and NVIDIA GeForce 260 or ATI Radeon HD 4870 graphics card.
As any role playing game, you have to level up in Diablo III. You progress through the story by completing quests. The new additions in Diablo III are the character specific quests and random adventures. This allows you to indulge in many memorable journeys, thus giving you longer game time. Many small and big improvements have been introduced in the game, including the health orbs that now fall from slayed enemies.
Diablo III has 5 main classes. These include Witch Doctor: He can summon undead monsters, The Barbarian: a brute-force fighter, The Wizard: he is a master at combining stealth and magic, The Monk: a specialist in melee based attacks and The Demon Hunter: he can combine different attacks. The game also includes followers. The followers are special as they can wield a weapon, two rings and a special item exclusive only to them. The 3 followers are Kormac the Templar, Eirena the Enchantress and Lyndon the Scoundrel.
Diablo III also allows the players to create hard core characters. You will be able to create one after your charecter advances to level 10. As they are a special addition, you cannot resurrect them if they are dead.
One of the eagerly awaited and most talked about addition in the game includes the Auction House. The Auction House allows you to buy items by paying real money. This assists you to advance faster through the game. You can also use in-game gold to level-up your character.
You can play games with other players from around the world using the Battle.net service. This multiplayer option allows you to drop in and out of sessions easily. From the spires of Caldeum to the fallen walls of Bastion’s Keep, you will fight evil at every step. Each new game promises to be more epic than the last. The trailers, updates and demos for the game can be directly downloaded from the company’s website.

The magic is gone.Diablo III is massive...no question about it. The hype surrounding this game was just as huge as the company that created it; and the hype was understandable. Diablo II and it's expansion packs are much loved games that are played to this day. Blizzard had to create a worthy successor to their hallowed franchise.

Will be the Best RPG for a long timeLike always Blizzard never disappoints...I've played the d3 beta and it is tremendously good..The character classes are very diverse and you will definitely like at least a few of them. The gameplay is what distinguishes Diablo from the rest, the controls are extremely simple and smooth. It's a much awaited classic which is too good to miss..

great game in a great packageflipkart delivered this on 23 may 2012 when it released worldwide on may 15, not too bad i guess but the wait has been worth it! the most expensive pc game ever to be available in India and the retail box is very nice, not ur typical packing and includes guest passes,a diablo 3 themed notepad and a user guide!! though expensive its worth it, some thing i will be playing for a very long time to come- WARNING dont buy this if u just want the story- wrong choice- also dont buy this if u dont have good stable internet cause its AN "always online" game!!

Very nice christmas giftIt was only a matter of time before I bought Diablo 3 and the 25% discount offer provided the perfect opportunity to do so. I am a big fan of Blizzard when it comes to role playing games - played all the diablo games and play retail World of Warcraft (EU) as well. The reason for buying it late was partially due to the fact I was waiting for the price to come down and partially due to the mixed reviews of the game all over the internet. Nevertheless I ordered it for myself this christmas.

Fun game, stupid always online restriction, ruined experience with lag.First of all let me tell you game is fantastic. very atmospheric and addictive. Well worth the money even at this high price. But single player lags. I have 500 kbps connection. Agreed its not blazing fast. But all online games I have played on it work. From mmos like world of warcraft to competitive multiplayers like Uncharted 3. But this single player game lags. What a bummer. It becomes prevelent in half sessions I play. Once it kicks in, no matter how much I click on enemy nothing happens, and then in flash I am dead and death penalty is applicable.

Worth every star!First, I know this is the console version and I know that you need to be online to play this. But it DOES NOT interfere with the game-play. It just needs the net to save the game. And which xbox isn't connected to the net these days?
