Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days is a hilarious story about Greg Heffley’s summer holiday misadventures.
Summary Of The Book
Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, published in 2009, is a children's fiction book which revolves around a young boy named Greg Heffley. The fourth book of the series, this story shows how the protagonist likes to spend his summer holidays indoors. While all the children play outside, Grey enjoys watching TV and playing video games. However Susan, Greg’s mother, has a different idea. She feels that her son should participate in activities that involve other people. So Grey and his best friend, Rowley Jefferson, join the country club. The two of them watch a horror movie together during a sleepover, and end up spending the entire night in the shower because they are terrified.
Susan decides to start a book reading club, which shuts down as Mr. Jefferson hands down a huge bill that lists how the two boys have spent a large sum of money on fruit smoothies at the country club. He insists that Greg and Rowley pay off the debt, so the two of them start a V.I.P. Lawn Care Service.
Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days traces all the funny moments in Greg’s life and how he falls into hilarious situations because of his own plans and ideas. The book is humorous and entertaining, and has been adapted into a major motion picture, and was released in 2012. It was a box office hit.

Belle book..!!Senor.. if you are thinking it's probably not as cool as the other books of this series, you are wrong! This book is as good as the others. I got the book nicely wrapped in a cardboard box and then in a thin plastic sheet with the bill right inside! I am an Italian-cum-Spanish settled in India! I found the delivery just awesome! I am just 13 and it was easy for me to order it myself because of the step-to-step instructions given by them! Nice delivery.. they told they would deliver in 4 days but I got it within 2 days itself! Awesome hard cover book written by Jeff Kinney. Probably one of the … (Expand)

Diary of a wimpy kid:The last strawI bought the first of the series for my son who has just started reading books for pleasure at the age of 13. After the Harry Potter series this was the first book that I got for him ...and he was hooked! I have read the diaries along with him and The Last Straw has proved to be the funniest of the three that we have read. Greg's trials and tribulations as the middle child caught between the baby of the family and the elder brother are hilarious. The smart aleck acts that he tries on in an effort to wriggle out of studies or to look cool are incidents that all moms and all sons all over the wo… (Expand)

Poor plot and a poor ending, otherwise making-milk-come-out-of -nose funnyI had been expecting a lot more from jeff kinney. His 7th book, the third wheel was completely awesome. This one made me laugh in between, but this, and most books of jeff kinney have an abrupt ending. You are gripped in the book wanting more pages of fun and suddenly BANG. You have finished the book. The plot is weak too. There are no certain things happening in the book. He is 85%times telling tales to the reader. There is no ongoing story going on. I expected better, but still, a must buy for Wimpy Kid fans.
