The book focuses on how India's foreign policy is determined,what are its permanent features and who decides its framework. The book is devoted to an analysis of the environmental factors(domestic, regional and global) that influence India's foreign policy. It conceptualises India's foreign policy goals - the goal of security, ofmodernisation, of regional hegemony and of international role playing. Each ofthem has been defined, analysed and evaluated. The book also deals with decisionmaking process. The author deals with the different institutionsthat are concerned with foreign policy, and has evaluated their impact.
