Book: Discrimination Against Women In India: A Gender Study The book beings with the history of men's oppression towards women from womb to death and discrimination against women in India, although there are laws of protection of women under the Constitution and Woman-related laws. It has illustrated the judicial response to gender jusitce (gender issues) in favour of women by citing decisions of hte Supreme Court of India. However, despite plethora of laws the psoition of women is no better than ever and therefore strict enforcement of existing laws is required, but then again law alone is not sufficient to fight the evils of gneder issues unless there is contribution of individuals and community for the full enjoyment of women's right.
