wonderful novel Review by p. lovelaceOne of my favorite Dick's novels, The Divine Invasion is humane and funny and terrifying, and although this is nothing new when Dick is concerned, The Divine Invasion is Dick's mature work that describes the savior's return to earth. He, of course, arrives via spaceship, but in a scenario that is far from the standard sf device. In fact, one could say that this was a new phase for Dick, one where he united strong religious interest that he had with science fiction and his other more general ideas. I would say that this is not a typical fast read, but rather a novel that does stay with you for a while.
