Ranking among the foremost in the world, the Delhi Metro in the National Capital Region (NCR) of India is operated by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (DMRC). It is a state-owned company, with equal participation from the Government of India and the Government of Delhi. DMRC recruits Junior Engineers in four fields, namely Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering. Diploma holders in the respective fields may apply. However, those with higher qualifications like B.Tech are not eligible.

The candidates must fall within the 18-28 years age bracket. The upper age limit is, however, relaxed by up to five years for those who apply through the SC/ST quota, and by three years for those who fall in the OBC category. The existing DMRC employees also get a relaxation for the upper age limit by three years if they have worked with the DMRC for at least three years. Also, there is no reservation for physically challenged candidates in this post.

The selection procedure involves three stages, the Written Test comprising of Paper 1 and Paper 2, Personal Interview and Medical Examination.
