In 2284 AD, Jack Silok, a senior genetic engineer working for the Cellwork Corporation, found himself puzzled by a genetic problem, which he had been trying to solve all his life: How to enhance human intelligence? All the genetic engineering works, which he had performed for the Cellwork Corporation, were compartmentalized and kept a secret from all its employees. His job was to make genetic constructs and pass them on to the next department, where the genetic constructs were supposedly used to make super-intelligent human beings. However, he had no proof that any of his genetic works had ever succeeded. In his search for the truth, he had to delve deep into the underworld controlled by the One Human Society.
