For few, college is the temple of learning, for some it is their ticket to romance, for others it is a place to make new friends, creating countless memories!

What does 'college' mean to you?
Does it remind you of your 'best friend?'
The friend who has been there, shared your dreams, acted as an advisor and an agony aunt!

But what if this same 'friend' betrays you, tries to sabotage your career and threatens to reveal every single detail of your life?

Would you sit in a corner and sob? Or would to stand up and retaliate?

'The Dumb and the Dumbfounded' is a tale of two friends- Aarav and Dhruv, who embark on a thrilling ride of life.
But soon the thin line between thrill and fright starts to dissipate.

Aarav begins to lead a 'dual life.'
Dhruv gives a new meaning to IIT.
And one of them discovers other's plans.

Would they forgive and forget? Or would they seek vengeance? But first, they have to make the ends meet, without actually making them meet!

This is a journey where there's nothing right or wrong.

    Heart rendering

In such subtle ways the book manages to convey simple messages-from friendship to relationships. Nothing is overdone: no where in the story do you see the writers saying that Aarav and Dhruv are best friends, its just the way that they both deal with other people that brings out their friendship and their dependency on each other. Each name is well thought of.
Medha's character definitely receives an applause.
One thing that I particularly liked was that everything could be visualized, from ...

    Tickles you Funny Bone

Browsing through Flipkart Found This novel.. The title was catchy and the Synopsis too was interesting ..
Although there are loads of character in the start which confused me .. but later they all took their own shape and were moulded perfectly into the story. Novel is well written transition are from one chap to another is smooth , although there are few hiccups in between.. but it carries well to the climax ... Climax might be acceptable to some and it might not be acceptable to other......

    Read it for fun sake!

    I don't write reviews.
And honestly, when a friend initially asked me to check this book and forwarded the link, I saw it and was unimpressed. I mean, it looked like some random college love triangle. I felt dismayed at the level of Indian Authors and messaged the author about her standards of work aren't worth reading.
For a day I didn't receive a reply. I have done this to another popular 'female author' and she bashed me on her blog for saying against her. So, I was prepared to fight with...

    Joyride

"The Dumb and the Dumbfounded"...... just read the novel !! @Authors.. Hats Off :) Its hard to believe this is your first novel... :)
Very beautifully crafted, carefully organised novel that particularly appeals to the young, for its story revolves around relationships of the college, the fun,the feasts...and then the fright and the famine. The most striking feature of the book is its strong plot and the storyline, by and large diffrentiated from the usual stories available so far on the like ...

The Dumb & The DumbFounded - book review

The book is an easy read.
There is a sparkling charm and freshness.
The enthusiasm of a writer's first book is felt constant throughout.

Its the story of every youngsters cool, hip and happening life...full of uncertainties.
The book brings forth a striking reality - how in those uncertain moments, youngsters take decisions on either side of the line.
Who is really true to you and who is not...Read the book to know.

I feel the book is a wonderful beginning of a witers literary sojourn.
    Ther...

    Funny

The Dumb and the Dumbfounded is a funny book, like a funny bollywood movie- without any insane dialogues or sex......
I loved the first half of the novel, really stuff like moon over the car, Aarav's love for night and Hrishant's unkempt hair-few things are memorable.
It seems authors have a particular liking for bathroom- the instances are mentioned time and again.......
But I think there is still a lot to be known- the book could be part of chronicles, because Dhruv's life can be explored m...

    AMAZING!!

    WOW!
An Amazing piece of work. A great story with clear and unique description of various characters. No doubt that Aarav and Dhruv are the main leads but all others like Medha, Ishanvi, Trisha, Ira, parents, Honda City Uncle and the rest have been mentioned time and again. The story keeps you engrossed throughout with what lies ahead. How will the real dumb manage with the polygamy? Who helps him with that?. Many such accounts. Just wonderful!! This shows the vivid imagination the writers p...

    Beautiful description

The book is as different and unique as its name. I fell in love with Medha's character. She is depicted in such a simple manner, but all through I liked her courage and her ability to deal with everything. The description of people in college and the moon is so beautiful that you can read it over and over again.
Although there are one or two things that could have been better, but I won't mention that coz I don't want to ruin the fun (and probably because its my opinion).
