Early Bird - Late Bird

EARLY BIRD-LATE BIRD is a fictional story about a Gentoo penguin family based on information collected from an expedition to Antarctica on the Russian scientific ship Akademik Sergey Vavilov in 1995. Passengers from 12 countries traveled to the fascinating continent during the Christmas season which is summer in the Southern Hemisphere. They did research before and after the expedition and attended lectures, labs and slide presentations about the continent and its inhabitants, mainly Gentoo, Chinstrap, Adelie, Macaroni, Rockhopper and Magellenic penguins. The book is recommended as a picture/chapter book for all average/above average readers and a "read-to" book for youngsters who love penguins. My hope is that parents will add to their own knowledge of penguin life in Antarctica and enjoy with their youngsters.
