Time management is the biggest problem most of us face today. Whether it is our personal or professional times, the best of us have been caught procrastinating at times. That's when you need to eat that frog – at least that's what author Brian Tracy tells us in this book.
In today's high pressure world, all of us are driven to prove ourselves and accomplish that elusive success in life. From homemakers who have converted themselves into supermoms to executives who turn ruthless in their bid to climb up the career ladder, everybody knows that the key ingredient to getting things done is time management. And here is where a copy of Eat that Frog! 21 Great Ways To Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time can help you.
In the book, the author points out that the best way to manage our time is to first complete the task that you have been dreading the most. The most challenging task – or it could also be the most boring task – is what often proves to be the stumbling block. Once that is out of the day, the rest of the day will run smoothly.
Apart from this, the book also outlines 21 different ways in which you can learn to manage time better. The second edition of this book contains several revisions and a special focus on how to prevent technology from encroaching too much into our time.
General Reception and Other Adaptations
Eat that Frog! has sold more than 450,000 copies worldwide. The book has been translated into several languages. There is also an audio CD version of the book.

I was blown away by the book, even before i finished reading the first chapter in the book.
Beautifully written in a lucid manner and can be finished in a single sitting. Although the real benefits can be derived from this book only if one applies the methods described in the book. Personally, I loved the book!
Rating : 4.5/5
The book is a good read for refreshing the skills/ideas on time management. There isn't any rocket science in the book, its just the familiar principles restated in a different way. The author states the techniques and also provides guidelines on how one can adopt/implement the technique.
The chapters are quite small and can be finished easily in one sitting. Even the book isnt bulky with too many pages, that way you can carry the book around and read it when ever you find time. The language is simple and easy to understand.
So I would recommend this book- you dont loose anything buying this book but you can atleast gain/understand few ways and start implementing them right away.
Lot of good practices. But somehow looks like many themes picked from other classics. Sometimes goes overboard by recommending high protien breakfast!
Two fundamental issues i have with this military like discipline for time.
First, morning may not be your peak period. So instead of starting your day eating the frog you might want to end with it.
Second, lot of ideas come when you just idle cycle on a problem aka procastinating. Setting up a time to solve the problem may not do much in such cases.
Otherwise lot of good advices one can follow.
Read this, but perhaps read First Things First by Steven Covey first.
Loved the book...Not because that it has something which has been never said before, but because of the way it motivates us to follow what we are being told since our childhood for efficient time management...I am sure that if anyone follow what author have asked us to do on daily basis until they become our habits, he/she will surely achieve much more success than he have ever imagined!!
I was greatly impressed with the content of this book which is in no way different from the other self-help category books but the mere presentation style was simple and precise.
i wonder how many of those tips are overlooked in everyday life ;
