Einstein (English) (Hardcover) Price: Rs.2342

By the author of the acclaimed bestseller Benjamin Franklin, this is the first full biography of Albert Einstein since all of his papers have become available.

How did his mind work? What made him a genius? Isaacson's biography shows how the imagination that distinguished his science sprang from the rebellious nature of his personality. His fascinating story, a testament to the connection between creativity and freedom, reflects the triumphs and tumults of the modern era.

Based on the newly-released papers and personal letters, this book explores how an imaginative, impertinent patent clerk - a struggling father in a difficult marriage who couldn't get a teaching job or a doctorate - became the mindreader of the creator of the cosmos, the locksmith of the mysteries of the atom and the universe. His success came from questioning conventional wisdom and marveling at mysteries that struck others as mundane. This led him to embrace a morality and politics based on respect for free minds, free spirits, and free individuals. These traits are just as vital for this new century of globalization, in which our success will depend on our creativity, as they were for the beginning of the last century, when Einstein helped usher in the modern age.

Life and hardships of a genius

It gives you an indepth life analysis of Einstein. Eventhough he is a genius, still it is a painful journey for him. It also tells you , what it takes a passionate guy to achieve his dreams inspite of the difficulties in personal and research.

Mind of a genius

I have read all three of Walter Isaacson's biographies but this one is the most different and perhaps the best of the three. It is an incredible peek into the mind of arguably the greatest genius in the last century. Perhaps because Einstein was incredibly private, we really marvel at how revealing a journey Walter Isaacson takes us through.
Life changing and a must buy.

Everyone must read this book. This is the best book by "Walter Isaacson"....Einstein regarded his major achievements as mere stepping-stones for the next advance. You Don't Have to be a Student of Physics to Enjoy this Book.

A marvellous and An inspiring book

It's things like these that made the book a success for me, this book is not all praise for the man who authorized this book. It's honest or as einstein would say it is pure. This book is good read. Not because I am sympathetic(of-course I am) after his death but the way it is written and the way his life. The legend actually asked the writer to write a biography of his life long ago, but the writer initially denied it. It seems he started interviewing him for the biography only last year around Jan 2010.

einstein present writer as actually including all good and dark matters as it is without hiding any facts and also that einsteine himself "will not read the book". Now such words comes from true legend because true to his word he expired before the book was released.
