And just when life was churning its monotonous cycle, Sachin and his family shift to temporary home in Juhu and it is in this new place, that he sees 'her' for the first time. Jessie.
It is love at first-sight for Sachin. And when he finds out that she lives in the house upstairs, he leaves no chance to watch her, catch her attentionor generally try to make conversation with her.
Jessie is a Malayalee Christian with strict orthodox parents! To make matters worse, she is also a year older to Sachin. All the odds seem stacked against him, And finally one day, when pushed into a corner, he confesses to her that he likes her But Jessie is headstrong and refuses to accept that she has any feelings for him. She insists that they should by friends and that anything further would make life very difficult for her. And Yet, she feels the need to meet him and talk to him.
This is a love story - musical between the quintessential romantic Sachin and the confused yet headstrong Jessie, and the hights and lows of being in love and the pleasures/pains associated with it. The entire movie is wonderful combination of a story told through the eyes of Master Director Gautham Menon set within the exotic backdrop of Kerala, Agra, Jaipur and Mumbai and the simply outstanding compositions of A. R. Rahman.

Jessie brings out the deewana in each one of us.
EKK THA DEEWANA contains all the ingredients you need to make a soft, romantic, ever lasting love story. Not a hard hitting story line but its like a dream script. Jessie played by the magical Amy Jackson has done a pretty great job. I know she wont be nominated for a Filmfare but she has done a commendable job. God has certainly spent a great deal of time on making of this beauty. You cant take eyes off her. If you cant, you better get them checked.
Prateik does lot of effort to impress you but he finally ends up being loved. Cool guy with lot of expressions and no over acting. NO OVER ACTING AT ALL.
Music is the soul of this movie. AR RAHMAN, you cant get any better. YOU ARE A GENIUS.
Last but not the least, this is about the director. Mr. Gautham Menon, Sir, please make atleast such a movie each year. Cause movie lovers like me need to watch such movies for about a hundred times.
SERIOUSLY RECOMMENDED. GO FOR IT.

Not worth for what iPaid..!!
I am totally disappointed. There is no extra contents at all. Compared to other dvd's this is none. Also the packaging was worst. I have bought this only hoping that there will be extra contents on making,music. But none was there. So my personal advice is don't pre-order any items.
