Emily

Emily struggles to open her heavy eyelids. In that fraction of a second, she realizes she is in a hospital environment but she cannot remember how on earth she got there. Images of adjusting to her new life in Vienna amid a different culture and unfamiliar language enter her mind. She recalls her daily struggle to bring up her two small sons and her difficult relationship with her husband Daniel, a pilot. Emily doesn't know who her birth parents are; she was adopted as a baby by an Australian couple, who only tell her that her parents were from Europe. Not knowing her real identity is a constant source of concern. The story tells of Emily's claustrophobic and chilling experiences in a clinic in Salzburg run by Dr. Immermeer, a renowned specialist for genetic and hormonal conditions. Gradually, between dream and waking reality, she manages to reconstruct her life and find out her true identity.
