The book discusses the basic factors of women empowerment with special reference to Life Insurance Corporation of Tirunelveli Division. Part one discusses the important position of women in Economic development and also highlights the role of Life Insurance Corporation of India in empowerment of women. Part two studies the various theoretical references for women development and also the necessary conceptual support from different theories.
About Author :
Dr. (Mrs) J. Nirmala, M.A., B.Ed., M.Phil., Ph.D., Reader in Economics having 19 years of teaching experience for both UG and PG. She had 17 years of Research experience and produced several M.Phil candidates. To her credit she attended several International National, State Level and Regional Seminars and conferences and present papers.Her research interests are women related studies. Dr. Dhulasi Brindha Varadarajan, MA., M.Phil., M.B.A., M.C.A. Ph.D., aged 53, is the professor and Head of Department of Environmental Economics, School of Economics, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai-625 021 had 25 years of teaching and research experience at university level.
