Book: Engineering Mechanics (rgpv) The course contents of first edition of the book entitled 'Engineering Mechanics' have been planned in such a way that the book covers the complete course of first year of all disciplines of Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal. The students generally face difficulties in understanding clearly the basic principles, fundamental concepts and theory without adequate solved problems along with the text. To meet this very basic requirement of the students, a large number of questions taken from different universities have been solved in this edition along with the text at proper places.
The book contains the following five units:
Unit I - Statics of Force Systems
Unit II - Centroid, Moment of Inertia and Friction
Unit III - Transmission of Power
Unit IV - Shear Force and Bending Moment
Unit V - Virtual Work and Trusses
The book has been written in a simple and easy-to-follow language so that even an average student can grasp the subject by self-study. At the end of each chapter highlights, theoretical questions and many unsolved numerical problems with answers have been given for the students to solve them.
