About The Authors
Michael McCarthy is an author and professor, excelling in the field of linguistics and vocabulary studies.
He has authored English Vocabulary in Use Elementary, English Vocabulary in Use Upper-intermediate, Exploring Grammar in Context, Issues in Applied Linguistics and Vocabulary: Description, Acquisition and Pedagogy.
McCarthy is currently employed as the Emeritus Professor of Applied Linguistics at the University of Nottingham. He also serves as an adjunct Professor of Applied Linguistics at the University of Limerick, Ireland, and Pennsylvania State University.
Felicity O’Dell is a writer and teacher.
She has also written English Collocations in Use Advanced, Games for Vocabulary Practice: Interactive Vocabulary Activities for All Levels, CAE Writing Skills, English Panorama 1: A Course for Advanced Learners, and Advanced Trainer Six Practice Tests Without Answers.
O’Dell has worked on a number of projects for several organisations such as the Pitman Examinations Institute, the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate, and the BBC. She is also a member of the Institute of Linguists and Society of Authors.

Nice book , covers vocabulary from various topicsGood for both beginner and advance . It teaches most frequent words used in day to day conversation and often used in newpapers.
