BodyThe Epson Inkjet Photo L800 is compact, measuring 537 x 571 x 289 mm with the trays open. When the printer is not in operation, the dimensions shrink to 537 x 289 x 188 mm. The glossy top lid opens to convert into a paper support. The printer is built with straight edges and curved paneling.
In the open position this input paper support reveals the sheet feeder and supports 120 sheets of A4 plain paper and 20 sheets of premium glossy photo paper. The sheet feeder is equipped with Edge Guide, so that you can adjust the feed according to the width of the media. There is another printer cover lid that provides access to the printing mechanism. Clearing paper jam is easily done with printer cover access. The front output tray can be accessed by opening the front cover. The front tray has an extension to support ejected media. The output tray has a capacity of 50 sheets A4 sized paper. The control panel has three buttons - one for Power, another marked like a drop (called Ink button) that returns the print head to its default position, and the third button that ejects paper or loads it and resume or cancel a job. All three buttons are complemented by one light each. When the power is On, this Power light is on. In operation, if Ink light goes off, press the Ink button for three seconds to clean the print head.
The ink tube unit can be loaded on the right flank. In the loaded position if the printer is required to be transported or moved, it becomes necessary to engage the Transportation Lock to transport position. The unit has to be unhooked and laid on a flat surface for refilling. The ink tube caps can be pulled open, and the inks from the six ink bottles can be filled into the tubes.

I have recently purchased two latest Epson CISS inkjet printers - Multifunction L200 and Photo L800. I do not agree with previous comment. The reason for buying these CISS (continuous ink supply system) printers are that they are very economical as compared to HP/Canon and other printers it is very easy to fill /refill ink tanks. Whichever colour is used up more - one has to buy only that colour ink and refill. Now - the print quality is exceptional and really good photo quality prints come out - ofcourse using the right paper. A few 4x6 colour photos I printed came out better in quality as compared with Lab prints. It is very silent and prints bi-directional and has good speed.
Just bought it yesterday, I regretting that I didn't search for a review and bought it with too much expectation.
I never like refilled modified printer, what I expect from L800 are the original ink by EPSON and the result is very bad, the yellow is like a mustard yellow and the cyan is very dark, the black is not that deep. well for a photo printer (6 colors) this can't come up a good nice photo print so far.
Altho I am very happy with my TX300 and Stylus Photo Pro 4000.
Also installing the ink is really painful, I have to register the serial code each tank.
I BOUGHT THIS PRINTER A YEAR BACK SAY MAY 2012. THE OUTPUT THAT I GOT FROM THIS PRINTER IS AMZING. THE PRINT QUALITY IS EXCELLENT. YEAH AFTER SOME PRINTS ITS HEAD GOT PAPER DUST IN IT BUT IT HAS SOLUTION IN THE SOFTWARE. CAN YOU IMAGINE TILL TODAY W.E.F. ,MAY 2012 TO MARCH 2013 THE TOTAL PRINT I GOT IS 30,198. SO DON'T THINK SO MUCH JUST FOR THIS PRINTER.
unfortunately print quality is with multiple lines not worth spending this much amount and getting poor output. I am very disappointed with performance I think company local person should guide us or help us for such kind of problems.
i purchased a printer just a week ago. its worth the cost as its working nicely at present . i hope it shall work nicely in future also.i purchased a printer just a week ago. its worth the cost as its working nicely at present . i hope it shall work nicely in future also.
