Epson Stylus - TX 121 Multifunction Inkjet Printer

I bought this Epson Stylus - TX121 Printer/MFD this week. Its the best one in its class. The Best features i liked are :

1. Awesome Price !!
2. Print, Scan and copy
3. Very High print speed(28 ppm black & 15ppm colour), greater
than almost all printers in this range.
4. Per page cost is very economical: Rs 1.33 for black and
Rs 3.23 for colour printout with T107 series cartridges
5. There are 4 individual cartridges, Black, Cyan, Magenta &
yellow so one can replace only those which are empty !!
6. Input/Output tray have higher capacity than other models
of HP, canon etc.
7. Print resolution is also higher than others !!

Finally, the flipkart trademark packaging is the best i have seen till now. And, also another-day express-delivery..!!!

Its the BEST Printer in the category below Rs.5000 range among MFD category...!!!

I ordered this printer on monday and it reached me on wednesday early morning. I was surprised to see it. The packing was solid enough to take 15-20 minutes (with knife) to open and if you are bare hands then forget the opening of packing before 1 hour. phewww.. After opening the outer packing I was amazed to see the printer sealed inside the air packets. after opening it i just plugged the printer and installed the cartridges and then i took out 3 prinouts (both colored and b/w) and 5 xerox (both colored and b/w) in just 5 minutes simultaneously... i was amazed to see the speed.. well done flipkart.. you kept your words.

One more thing about the cartridges.. if you are installing cartridges then make sure you remove the yellow tape and "DO NOT" i repeat "DO NOT" remove the duct tape which is over the ink hole. okay?? just insert the cartridge right on their respective places and then the duct tape will get pierced through the pointed syringes which are inside the printer to suck the ink and place then on the paper.

Over all its a 8.5/10 deal.. go for it guys its really value for money device.

Despite following every step as instructed by Epson Helpdesk/ technical team, cartridge ink decreases even when printer is not in use. Surprising but check ink levels before printing & this will be confirmed. This is esp. true for black. Most of the time Cyan cartridges show empty even when cartridge is new & this calls for additional headache of following up with the supplier for a replacement.

This is an experience shared by another user who actually had initially recommended the printer to me.

Also cartridges can not be refilled, making the overall printing cost higher as compared to other printers in the same category.

No doubts printing quality is good but the overall printing cost is a deterrent. Try maintaining record of total number of prints between each cartridge change & you will realise for home use where high quality printouts are not a necessity, this is not exactly an economical printer.

This happens 2 b d first printer i bought home and was confused between HP deskjet 2050,canon pixma mp258,Epson stylus tx121.
To b honest TX121 is awesome n good VFM.

Had no problems installing .... unpacked and got my first print out in jus 15min. too easy to use!!

the best part happens to b individual cartridges and cost per paper almost comes down by half when compared with HP deskjet 2050 and canon pixma mp258 (similar cost and specs to stylus tx121) moreover with a better DPI...

Great value for money. Both color and B/w printing is quite good for the money. Scan is good and so is copier. Best part is individual cartridges. Works very good in Ubuntu. For scanner I had to go to avasys.jp and install the software iscan and it works wonderfully.
