Fantastic book!!

Even as someone who had a minor (and dormant!) interest in etymology , this book made for an amazing read. Mark Forsyth's writing is brilliant , with subtle humour ingrained in it. The connections between words are handled dexterously. Worth a read!

Brilliant book!

This book is an absolute must-have in any book lover's library! It is extremely well written, and makes you want to read it end-to-end before you can finally put it down.

For anyone who is considering buying this book but is not sure what it's going to be like, read Mark's blog, The Inky Fool.
