Eureka Forbes Aquasure Crystal UV Water Purifier

Ordered this filter and got is delivered in 3 days. The technician came the very next day to fix, i was out of station hence he came back again the next day.
Everything was fixed in a short time. I did not have a "T" pipe attached to my tap, the package came with one and the technician fixed it. No issue with the fixing.
The water had a strange taste for at least the first 2-3 days. Now the taste is gone and its normal. I figured out that we need to at least let the water flow for about half an hour when it if first set up in your house, before we start drinking, to make the water taste normal.

Everything else is as it is meant to be. It is a very good UV filter. I live in a area with Govt. water supply and hence UV is just about enough. No need for RO for me. Flow of water is enough for me It took me near about 1min 15sec to fill two 1L bottles. Start up time is fast(round about 20- 30 sec). Wall mounted (fitting came with the package), looks good, has back flush technology to clean filter(one of the main reason to opt for this over others), 6000L cartridge capacity is good.

Go for it, but watch out for that initial bad taste and remember to flow the water for fist few liters before you start drinking. This is common by the way for all filters.

The product was ordered by me on Friday, 3rd August and I got the product on Thursday, 9th August. The product finally got installed by the Eureka Forbes technician on 27th August, that too after repeated calls from Flipkart CS team and also some calls from my end. The problem then was that the technician asked for a installation fees of Rs 350 as he was saying the product was delivered 20 days back and if the installation is after 15 days then I have to give the installation fee, and this issue was also promptly resolved by the Flipkart CS team who directed me to the Eureka Forbes helpline who then contacted the technician who installed for free.

The reason I had gone for this product was due to the strange taste that I used to have in the Municipal water supply which was supplying water to my apartment. I've just used the product for a day and I can say that within the 1st day the old taste was gone and I have had no problems with the product so far.

It is used by me and not a false review of this product however i have not purchased this product from flipkart but this product can hardly be used because it does not sustain for so long i have used hardly few days and it didnt withstand that much also.

Final verdict
Its not worth of our hard earned money there are many better products available than this.I even dont want to give this product a single star rating but as all of you know flipkart we must give 1star rating atleast.

bought Eureka Forbes crystal back in 2008,It stopped working after 2 years, The service guy came and replace the PCB(Printed Circuit Board) and charged around 2000 rs. and now again it stopped working(2012) and again the service guy said the that PCB needs to be replaced and it would cost around 2000 rs. Rest all is ok, I dont know whether they on purpose make faulty PCB and replace it after evrey 2 years.

The manufacturer outsources the maintenance of the unit to other parties. These parties sell contracts that call for cleaning/candle replacements every few months. Given the 1 or 2 year contract you would expect that at least they would show up when asked. I have to get involved in screaming matches over the phone to get them to send a person over! Not buying anything from Eureka Forbes again that could possibly require a "servicing" experience.
