Good product, but horrible customer service
I recently bought the Euroclean Wet & Dry model, and it's pretty good. Everyone in my house likes it. And if not for my recent interactions with their customer care, I'd be writing a glowing review for Eureka Forbes.
It's been nearly a month since I bought the thing, and I still haven't received the receipt I was ideally supposed to receive on the day of the purchase. I kept ignoring it as a non-issue, because it was just a receipt, and because the sales rep that sold me the thing kept telling me he'll get it to me in the next 3-4 days.
Last weekend, he stopped receiving my calls, so, I thought I should just check with their customer service about my receipt. And that completely changed my opinion about the company.
Every time I call them, the customer service reps shamelessly tell me that they'll make sure the problem is fixed in the next 24 hours, without ever meaning it. Thrice they even told me to expect a callback in the next hour or so with updates, but that never happened either. When I ask to talk to a supervisor to escalate the issue, all of them refuse to transfer my call. Always, talking to them made me feel like an idiot for calling them.
Then I went and posted on their facebook page with the complaint number. Someone replied back asking for my contact details, which I provided, but nobody has called me yet. While reading their reviews at mouthshut, I found out that it's their standard tactic. i.e. reply back to the complaint posts asking for contact details, and then just ignore the issue. This gives others the impression that the company actually cares, without them actually doing anything. Pretty sneaky.
I'm just glad that my issue is just not receiving my receipt. I can't even imagine going to them to service my vacuum cleaner if it develops issues. Well, since I don't have a receipt, it's unlikely I can take the machine for servicing anyway.
On the whole, dealing with Eureka Forbes customer service just isn't worth it. But on the other hand, the vacuum cleaner is pretty good, so, YMMV. Just beware though.
Small & Compact, better to go for Kracher
I was surprised by the small size of this equipment. In my opinion following are the points which go against it.
1. Very weak motor especially for cleaning carpets if you need to clean one.
2. Since the height of the cleaner is small the body keeps tripping over from the wheel base.
3. The power cord length is not sufficeint compared to other models and also it is not self retractable which is a big big disapointment.
4. Huge noise. Almost gave me a headache first day. If you have kids less than 1 year, you may need to reconsider.
Pros
1. Value for money compared to other eureka forbes models (exluding karcher here)
2. Compact size may (just may) work for small residences.
Sweet and Sour
I have the older version that I bought way back in 2008. I use this to clean my approx. 2000 sq.ft. home twice a week.
Pros: I have been using this for about 5 years now. Its been doing its job pretty well. I don't have a maid to mop the floor between these vac cleanings twice a week. The cleaning is way better than sweeping and hand mopping.
Cons: Not happy with their sales and after service and overall attitude.
Have taken an AMC with them.
Suction is not great.
Quality of accessories is not great.
Accessories not readily available.
Do not buy
Do not buy this product. This is manufactures by Forbes and not Eureka FOrbes. The Product is bad and the Service is even worse. I am told this is a sister concern organization that manufactures some of these machines and the machine sold directly by Eureka Forbes by door to door sales is of better quality and build.
Eureka Forbes vaccum cleaners will not be available in store anywhere.
Please do buy this. If you need a vaccum cleaner, call Eureka Forbes directly and get their product.

Good Product
Having used this for a month, i am very much satisfied with the performance. I know that there is no customer service and after sales service for this product. Still I purchased this because of the performance and multi functionality. Recommend this and make sure you dont rely on customer care after purchase.
