Eveready HL-52 LED Emergency Lights

Pros:

1. Good light and there is a torch as well.
2. Sturdy looks.
3. Other users' feedback is accurate.
4. There is a White and Yellow option.
5. Overcharge and Deep discharge protection (Yet to check if these work).

Cons:

1. Smaller than expected.
2. Noisy swivel when rotated.
3. Very short recharge cord.
4. Will need some careful handling - LED panel may not survive a fall.
5. Long recharge time.

Its been about 20 days since i've purchased this LED Emergency Lamp and i've been quite happy about it. To test the battery life of this lamp, I performed a heat run on it. I charged it fully (24 hrs straight) and let it on.. It ran for 16 hrs and 22 mins!!! Thats actually more that what they have specified.

After the heat run, I charged it once more (this time 16 hrs) and I dint have to recharge it yet, despite its being used for about 1 to 2 hours a day..

PROS:
- Powerful LEDs, good enough to light up a whole room.
- Even the torch on the back is quite powerful.
- Amazing battery life.
- Table lamp feature is an added benefit
- The auto on feature works like a charm. (but also deprives you with the option to switch the unit on while its charging)
- Very less heating while charging.
- Charging cord is neatly hidden inside a small compartment underneath the unit
- Switches are heavy duty and of good quality.
- Very nice packing and delivery from flipkart.
- Worth the money you spend on this.

CONS:
- Twisting and swirling the main LED panel make an annoying noise.
- Short cord length
- The button to turn on the main LED panel is, somewhat difficult to reach while holding the unit with the handle.
- The unit cannot be hung. No provisions for that.
- The plastic build quality is 'just ok'. Wont withstand a fall.
- The charging LED is barely visible from the front.
- The LED Panel is fragile. If you exert pressure in the wrong direction, it might break!

Flipkart at its best with respect to packing. Awesome work in packing. EL looks really good & rigid. Yet to start using it. The colour and power of light looks bright. 360'degree rotation of LED is really good idea. However when you tilting you get a weird noice which irrates person in the home. Overall a good product from Eveready & rigid packing from Flipkart.

Got this product week and after unpack I found the colour is not RED instead it Coffee/ Chocolate colour....didn't raise any complain as matter of fact I liked the colour plus it also ensure due to time long usage it not shows up any dirt/smudge...Earlier I had red colour and I experienced this.

Anyhow here goes the point

1. Bright LEDs to illuminate - Very impressive
2. Incredibly Good LEDs for Torch too - Focus & Aim Awesome.
3. Torch & Main Light Can be uses at the same time.
4. Main light can be rotate and fixes as a Table Lamp / Reading Light.

(-)
1. Switch (ON/Off) placement for both light placed in a very Awkward position, Every time I need to lift the lamp from place to place my finger rest on the switch and it turns off.

2. Switch - Push Type - Don't know how durable are these for prolong time usage.

3. Charging cable is very short to reach any power outlet. User forcefully need to buy extension cable / or make option.

4. The door which hide the Charging cable - Feels like break anytime - Better not to use on daily basics rather wrap the cable on Handle.

Anyhow a very good product as the functionality goes but the poor choice of switch placement and doubtful durability my rate goes 3/5.

It is the best emergency light ever.It has all the features that i was looking for-
1-It can be rotated 360 degrees which is a big advantage for students who want to use it as study light.
2-long battery life up to 10-15 hrs.
3-It has torch light too.
4- very handy and bright.
so it's worth it.
