Meanwhile, Malik's ex-fiancee Kim is trying to move on from the disastrous ending of her wedding day by dating again. This time, she meets a wonderful man who happens to be white. Questions and issues of race permeate her mind as she tries to open herself to new love and new possibilities. Nadine is dealing with relationship issues of her own. After deciding to take a break from her boyfriend of two years, she quickly realizes that the single life is not what she remembers and that her new interest, Malik, is not what he seems.
