About the Author:
S. C. Rastogi, formerly Professor and Head of Biological Sciences Department at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, has a rich experience of teaching and research spanning more than 40 years. He has taught and supervised research in the fields of molecular biology, biochemistry, enzyme biotechnology and physiology. He has to his credit about 75 research publications in journals of international repute. He has edited proceedings of many symposia and authored several books in the areas of bioinformatics, biochemistry, cell biology, physiology and molecular biology. As a biologist of repute, and accredited with many educational innovations, he has been a constant participant in course development activities at BITS and other universities, and has served on various committees.
