F&D A-520 2.1 Multimedia Speakers

Hi,

I was looking for a speakers under budget from Rs.2000 to Rs.5000,
but lots of popular brands I had searched for my next 2.1 speakers, Like logitech, creative, iball, frontech, altec lansing etc, None of them has good sound quality and price matched to my budget, if price matched, but sound quality not according to me, What I am looking for. I already have creative 2.1 M2600 speaker, but not satisfied with the sound quality, I am using creative xtremegamer 7.1 soundcard, This soundcard is awesome but my creative M2600 speakers are not, creative speakers generally has superb build in quality, but sound quality is not.

Now come to the point,
Finally, I bought the F&D(Fenda) A520 2.1 speakers. It’s sound quality is better than creative M2600 2.1 speakers, I had test this speakers with lots of songs, In English genres,

Rock = Takida – Give into me.
Trance = Basshunter – Now You’re Gone.
Pop = MLTR – Romatic Balcony.
Country = brad paisley – find yourself (disney pixar cars).
and many more.

All the above mentioned tracks I had listened in F&D A520, its surprised me, the highs, mids, and lows every frequencies are balanced. I think I got the best 2.1 speakers in this Budget. And I use this product for music listening every day atleast 1 hour or more. I pump up the volume upto 100% and it hasn’t distorted, and this speakers will start shaking every thing almost, but the best thing is that, this has a best sound quality in this budget, Now about the specification of F&D A520,

Subwoofer Speaker : 6.5″ , 20W RMS.
Satellites Speakers : 4″ driver , 16*2 RMS.
Total power output : 52 RMS.
PMPO : 5000W.

2 cables.(one is for pc 3.5mm pin to RCA & another is RCA cable for DVD or some other devices).

This product may available on price Rs.2000 in my town. And last but not the least, This is value for money products, If you listen this you definitely want this.

I searched and read reviews of many 2.1 from altec, logitech, creative etc. I myself had a altec 2.1 10 years back and loved the big bass then. then had creative from one of my friends but not very impressed with its larity except good bass.
I dont even know company called F&D of China is manufacturing and marketing speakers until I stumbled on it in flipkart.
then started researching for it and found good reviews by users on its clarity, bass, low-distorsion and VFM. Not even in one place among maybe five in internet has anyone complaining about them. infact, in one blog, one person has both this and creative inspire T3 and rated this one better. And in another place, the creative bought in 2006 died while F&D bought in 2005 still working fine (reliability issue is sorted out here for me since I had zebronics SW 2400 which is actually good sounding one but gave me problems from 3 months)
So finally zeroed on this due to very good VFM and nice reviews and it did not disappoint me.

first things first
COULD BE BETTER:
1. the treble control could be present as i like listening to clear highs without much bass often
2. the wires to the satellites is attached from inside which may cause problems. If the cables from sub to sat are completely plug and play, its much less prone to problems like wire getting cut from inside of satellite during operation/transporting and also much easier to buy new set of cables in case of cable failure.

ALREADY BETTER:
1. Build Quality: I really did not expect such a nice solid build for the price and this being 'CHINA' product. I can say, its built to last long.
2. Big Sub-Woofer: the 20W 6.5 inch wooden sub is massive and gives a great clear bass with almost ZERO DISTORTION
3. Powerful Satellites: I am surprised to see the sat rating as 16W before buying the product. usually, sats come in 5-8 W for a sub 2k 2.1. and true to its size, it gives a very good clarity and loudness.

All in all, i liked the product very much and you can very much buy this product at such a cheap price from FLIPKART. with its super safe packing, service, delivery, genuiness and support.

one small advice is that keep the volume high and go to the neighbouring room for listening. this way, its sounding much clearer and sweeter than hearing from my same small room.

As always thanx to Flipkart for their unnatural (18 hrs 56 min) delivery. To be honest, I was a bit confused between F&D A510 (Beautiful Design) & A520 (Powerful Sound, Mind blowing performance & more recent in the market). Then, I decided to go for A520 And I'm thoroughly satisfied with 'em. Thanx to the previous buyers for sharing their experience which helped me alot. So, if any one planning to buy just simply go for it, as no speakers can match up the potential of these speakers at this price & even higher.

A negligible down side noticed with a520 is the frequency reproduction gap between subwoofer & satellites. This is audible while listening to vocals with bass & mid.

With 50% bass knob turned, you may have to pump in more bass via SRS trubass, dfx etc for great thumping bass out of sub.

Equally good for music & movies. Sit diagonally to sub placed in right corner.
