I'm so damn GLAD I DID!

This product is great! I paid just Rs. 840 for it, which is a huge bargain for a product this good. It looks top-notch. It gives you crisp audio and pretty good bass. I tested it with different tracks, and be it rock, electro, hip hop, or trance, this really compact soundbar delivers all these tracks brilliantly. I'm really satisfied with the quality of this product and look forward to buying more from F&D.

Perfect companion for a student or a travelling music lover. You could take it with you practically anywhere. It is a small soundbar (roughly 2 feet across), so do not expect the same decibels as a 2.1 speaker set. But its loud enough for everyone in the same room to get good music, and feel a decent amount of bass as well (again, not if you're expecting some heart thumping!).

I only received this an hour back, so I can't comment about durability. But about Cons, I find two not-so-important ones. One, it is USB POWERED :/ - doesn't come with a cable that goes into the wall socket. Yes, that means I have to switch on my laptop to use it. But to be honest, its really not that big a deal, as I can easily buy a wall socket to USB adapter and I'll be all set.

Secondly, the sound seems to tear/distort a bit if you play at full volume (only on a few loud tracks so far. But I have noticed this with an iPod Docking Station I have of JBL's as well. And honestly, I prefer this.). I would have preferred if the makers had limited the volume than allow the speakers to sound strained. My advice to users would be to NOT play certain really loud songs at full volume.

That being said, the cons don't cause any sort of a blemish on the sound quality and overall satisfaction that I find in this soundbar. Would i recommend this to anyone who is looking for a portable speaker that delivers quality sound? Absolutely, definitely, Yes.

I got this because the Toshiba AV40 television (which I bought off this site) has speakers that were, to put it politely, rubbish, and turns even the most exciting F1 races into boring processions. I estimated that beating such bad inbuilt speakers would be pretty easy.

Let's get things straight, I was not expecting miracles. I have been spoilt by great audio gear for many years, and all I was expecting was audible and intelligible speech, and a bit of sparkle and frill on the top for regular TV viewing (cable).

I am powering it off a little adapter that is at least as capable as a USB port. Since it is being used as a standalone, this is pretty much enough for television.

The bar fits neatly on the table stand and is basically invisible against the bezel of the television. The good stuff ends there.

It does speech well. Definitely better than the Tosh's speakers. Music is absolute nonsense. Leaving aside the bass (which there is none of) there isn't much detail in the middle, or finesse at the top.

A USB port is capable of 2.5W maximum, so the 3W power rating is kind of a joke too. I'd be surprised if it was more than a watt each channel.

It works. That's the best thing I can say about it. For my TV, it is adequate. Just about. I'm guessing at this price, one can't do much better anyway so I'll let it slide.

The F&D E200 is a big surprise. Powered by USB, this baby actually made me smile wide. It does not blow the whole room out, nor does it shakes the wall with rich bass. But what it does is - absolutely value for money bass and treble. Yes, the Bass is there but not like the subwoofer stuff.

Simple in design, with a cool red-light volume knob and a metallic grill in front. It actually has 4 drivers, and gives a good stereo staging. The volume is fine for a 10x10 room.

The highs are bit overdone, may be coz all the 4 drivers are typical mid-bass drivers. The bass is there, decent. Watching movies and listening to music is pretty fine.

Nice touches I found:
1. Has a Headphone out in the rear
2. Two nail holes to hang this piece on a wall
3. Detachable USB power supply cord.
4. The red-light around the knob is really cool
5. Build quality is great!

Run-in:
These speakers need the typical run-in time to get settled and produce the effect fully. You may need some 50 hours run-in time.

got this speaker two weeks before from flipkart.Neat packing and prompt delivery as usual.

Talking about the design, its very compact and design is good too.It fits right under my Samsung 20"led, so it saves a lot of space and there's no long wires messing up usually in case of a 2.1.Its definitely worth the money.
And coming to the audio playback, it generates decent bass along with good mids and treble.The volume shivers a bit when it goes over 80%.

Pros:
1.Space saving, no tangling wires
2.Good value for money
3.Decent sound quality (considering the size)
4.Good for watching movies

Cons:
No power adapter, you must connect it to the usb directly for power.
No on/off switch.So it stays on all the time or you have to disconnect it from the usb drive when not using it.

So if you are looking for a compact speaker, go for it.
But if you are looking for more sound quality, spend 100 more and go for the logitech z103

I ordered the product from flipkart and i got it within 2 days.It was very quick.I had opened the package of the E 200 and was really suprised to find out the size of the speaker.It was really big.It is well over 1.5 feet.The Sound bar consists of 2 inch drivers (speakers) and 2 mini woofers for certain a kind of kicking springy bass.Although you wont feel the same strong powerful bass as you get from a subwoofer,it still is really good enough to fill up a medium size room.I wouldnt say its perfect,but for this price i dont thing you would get a better one.I had checked a lot of products before buying this one.And both price wise and sound wise its really good.
The only negative aspect was that you have to connect it to a usb power source to turn it on.Its got a red led lit volume knob on the right which makes it look really classy and expensive.

Im a big music fan and i look at all the sound aspects and i would say this is a pretty good speaker and you can buy it blindly without considering any options.I use is everyday now coz its so awsome.

To get the optimum sound delivery from the speakers it should play for around 50 hours.the first 50 hours will get the speakers used and then you will get the optimum sound quality.
Im pretty sure you wont regret it.
