Fallen is the story of a young girl named Lucinda Price who finds herself in a love triangle like no other, one with fallen angels and multiple lifetimes.
Summary Of The Book
The novel is the first instalment of Lauren Kate’s young adult fantasy series, also titled Fallen. It is centred on the life of a seventeen-year-old girl named Lucinda ‘Luce’ Price. When a certain boy dies in a fire, Luce is blamed for starting the fire and is sent to Sword & Cross Reform School in Savannah.
Life at the new school quickly turns complicated for Luce when she falls for a handsome boy named Daniel, who does his best to ignore her. But Luce continues to be inexplicably drawn to him. Then there’s Cameron (Cam), a boy who likes Luce and tries to charm her. Cam dislikes Daniel and sets out to irk him at every turn.
Luce gets the feeling that Daniel is hiding some deep, dark secret. She is desperate to discover what he is hiding in the hope of learning why she is so intensely drawn to him and why he is just as strongly disinterested in her.
The book was first published in 2009 by Delacorte Books. It became a huge hit and appeared on several bestseller lists including The New York Times bestseller list. It is in the process of being adapted for film. This edition is a 2010 reprint by Corgi Childrens.

nice book slow but good forbidden love story
What I Liked:
- I am a sucker for love stories that defy time, so I really enjoyed that aspect of Fallen.
- Many of the secondary characters in this book kept me guessing, wondering who was to be trusted and who had ulterior motives.
- Before I started reading this book, I was concerned that the story would remind me too much of other books (like Hush, Hush and Twilight), but overall I was pleasantly surprised. Luce did not drive me crazy, and although Daniel was not nearly as forthcoming as I wanted him to be, he was not an insufferable jerk or a 'bad boy' either. I found their attraction to one another believable. And Cam was also surprisingly likable.
- The action and conflict kicked up a notch in the final quarter of the book, so that left me eager to check out Torment, the second book in the series.
- I liked that the author was not afraid to kill characters, so I wasn't completely positive who would make it to the final pages.
frankly, i bought this book because its cover was intriguing............but the content isn't. It is a really boring story. If you buy it, you'll waste your money as well as your time.
if there was a ridicoulus-o-meter, this book would top the charts.
This book is one of the best choices for romance lovers....this book is very very dark, scary and in the meantime is very romantic, lovely and light by heart.....it has some romantic moments but its worth it. It has some phrases and words which are very new to me because I am not a Christian and it's language is also a bit of Gothic....It's first two chapters were a bit hard to understand so it was hard to co-relate them with each other and the rest of the chapters of the book. But overall it is a very sweet, scary and thrilling book. I believe that those who are good in vocabulary of English, they will surely get deep into the book-they will feel that they themselves are a character of the book; such is the detailing of the book. Overall it is a very nice book.
well..i recently went to a bookstore and found a huge pile of 'fallen'...i thought it would be gud...the cover too was intriguing...so i bought it..
frankly...i wasnt satisfied...i liked the character of luce...she cool...daniel was ohk...i loved cam...he was a total go getter...but the story was confusing and weird...it wasnt going at the right pace and ... well i dreaded to finish the book...the characters were gr8 and could have woven magic but sadly..the whole "im lost" "i know you" "UR AN ANGEL?!" was soo not gripping!
and it ended in a very abrupt way too.so it a 2 n a half outta 5 for me!
I bought this book thinking that it would be something out of the box....something extraordinary.
But as soon as i finished the book , I didn't want to read the sequel or whatever.
The book is good...to an extent.I did like some of the scenes between Daniel and Luce.
But the storyline is thin and spread out... something that should be a total no-no in a book.
I'm not saying it's bad , don't get me wrong....But it isn't that great either.
Let's just say that I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.
