Far Cry 3

After so much of waiting(2 months extra) far cry 3 is finally here. Flipkart service is good as always nothing to complaint.What to say about the game its awesome.Far cry fans this game is must buy for you guys.This game is also must buy in 2012.I upgraded my pc to run this game so check system requirements before buying.

Features:dark and twisted story,massive open world,reactive wildlife,vegetation,day and night cycle,bright color themes.

Multiplayer is good 2 new modes included firestorm and demolition.You can play story with your friends using co-op mode and online co-ops also included.

I pre-ordered this game on Flipkart on November 28, for a December 1 release. Next day I got an email update saying that the shipment had arrived, and I had the game on the day of the release. There's no beating that sort of delivery service, that's for sure!

As for the game, I bought it for my husband, who is a dedicated FPS gamer, and he has already spent many, many hours on it. It's great, but not essential to have played the previous games of the series as this is a standalone story. The story starts as a standard survival story but adds layers of moral dilemmas, and is well-supported by fabulous graphics and sound, many techs, tools and upgrades, and gripping gameplay, as can be expected from such a reputed brand (Ubisoft). In fact, it's one of the now-rare FPS games that focuses on the single-player campaign instead of just tacking it on before making way for the multiplayer. There are many, many detailed reviews of the game online, so not getting into that, but this is a must-have for anyone who loves a good open-world 'shooter' because there is no dearth of people, animals and things to shoot and blow up here. A fanatically crazy, captivating villain is the icing on the cake.

A couple of warnings:

--> Not for those with a tendency to get motion-sick with wildly moving camera
--> Extreme violence, gore, swearing, nudity, immoral decision choices - for mature audiences only

I was confused whether to go for this on the PS3 or PC. I finally decided to go for the PS3 version. And from the beginning till the end the game kept telling me that I had made a decent purchase. The maps is big..oh wait Huge...No wait Gigantic! The Best open world design out there. The amount of things you can do as a player also is just unlimited. The game lets you handle a battle in your own ways its not a run and gun try that and you will find yourself reloading the same checkpoint over and over and again before you devise a strategy to get through a battle. The game makes you go exploring, thats right you have to hunt animals, Kill sharks Collect herbs its more of a mandate because you have to level up you character and also the weapons . All in all its a great game no matter what platform you own it on!
I give it a 9/10.
Only negative I could find is a possible lack of depth in the story and voice acting of your character, Jason Brody.

Single Player-The greatest Asset of Far cry series is its single player campaign.Having played the previous 2 parts i can definitely say that far cry 3 surpasses them in terms of story line and game play.You can feel the story in the game.open world game play let's you decide as to how you want to approach the target and complete the mission.Enemy and Animal A.I is solid enough to make the game challenging.There is combination of stealth(if you choose)and Full on gunslinging which keeps it interesting.The thing which for me made the single player campaign little boring was the bulletin board challenges which will become monotonous after sometime, but still that is no reason to avoid the game as no game is perfect.I do not have monster specs in my computer and i have played the game in low graphics and even then i ran the game pretty smoothly with occasional lag(which is quite normal for a 5 year old computer)

Multiplayer-If single player is its greatest strength then multiplayer is It's weakness.there is no dedicated server(Its Big Flaw) like bf3 where you can play in your favorite server.The multilplayer experience is OK and as of now i have found lobbies(for team deathmatch) every time i tried to play MP.I found the gun recoil in MP to be a very big irritant. I believe a game which sold For 999 must have a good multiplayer experience and far cry 3 MP will keep you hooked for few months(unlike year in case of bf3 or bad company 2).
I rate the game 3 out of 5 because i am not that satisfied with MP but overall far cry 3 is best in the series and you should not miss the single player.

The game is full of plus points. The scenery is just amazing, the visuals are just amazing, and the performance! I should give a kudos to the developers for making such an amazingly optimized engine! I was just amazed at the smoothness this game ran on high to very high settings on a medium rig like mine. I dont have an uber graphics card but this game runs incredibly smooth! Half the time i'm just enjoying the scenery and the sunshine and exploring the thick jungles and searching for artefacts!

As for the multiplayer, it is decent though not mind blowing but I do think they can do an overhaul of the multiplayer for better gameplay. I did not like the lobby system much, it lags sometimes. Though the game modes are quite good, maps are very good and theres map editor included so you can make your own maps or just experiment here and there.

Bottom line - An incredible singleplayer experience with lots of scenery, thick jungles, caves and what not with an incredible game engine.. I just love the Dunia engine 2. I hope they make more games on it its the most optimized DirectX 11 engine I have experienced so far. If they can still fix the multiplayer still, I will readily give it a 5/5!
