Feasts Of The Blessed Virgin Mary

Myriad feasts in honour of the Virgin Mary are held and observed throughout the liturgical year. Some of the feasts are ancient rituals, while others are celebrated in remembrance of more historically recent events that pertain to her, such as the visions at Lourdes and Fatima, in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries respectively. Taken a chapter at a time, the feasts are here detailed in all their glory with reference to the scriptures, to poetry, to hymn, to philosophy - all of which express their devotion to and love for 'the mother of humanity' in their own unique ways.
