About The Authors

David D. Burns is a leading American psychiatrist.

He has authored a number of books on human psychology, including Ten Days To Self-Esteem, Fifty Ways To Untwist Your Thinking, and When Panic Attacks. He is also credited for developing a 25 question checklist to self-diagnose a case of chronic depression.

Burns is presently the adjunct professor emeritus at Stanford University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He also conducts workshops and provides training on psychotherapy. He completed his M.D. from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1970 and his residency training in Psychiatry from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974. He was awarded the Outstanding Contributions Award by the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists in 2002.

Aaron T. Beck is a renowned American psychiatrist and is widely known as the father of cognitive therapy.

He has written as many as 540 articles and over twenty books on the various aspects of human psychology. This includes Cognitive Therapy Of Depression, Prisoners Of Hate: The Cognitive Basis of Anger, Hostility, and Violence, and Love Is Never Enough: How Couples Can Overcome Misunderstandings, Resolve Conflicts, and Solve Relationship Problems Through Cognitive Therapy.

Beck completed his MD from Yale Medical School in 1946. Therapeutic techniques developed by him have been used to treat a number of mental conditions, including schizophrenia, depression, and bipolar disorder. He is President Emeritus at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research. He is also a professor at the University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Psychiatry and serves as the director of the Psychopathology Research Unit. He is the recipient of the 2010 Sigmund Freud Award and the 7th Heinz Award in the Human Condition.

Only for student doing psychiatrist

1st half of book is fine nice to read but later it is bouncer over the wicketkeeper! its only good for those studying psychiatrist books students of psychology and doctor not for those look for self help books and need to come over depression.
