Having read Fifty Shades of Grey (Book I), I could not wait to read the next two parts - but what a let down. There was no story line worth the name. In fact, take out the sex and theres no book at all. Anyone reading this who was keen to try out Vol II and III of Fifty - don't bother. If at all you want to know what Katy..er, Ana and Christian did next, wait until your neighbourhood circulating library buys it. Otherwise, just pick up any old piece of Mills & Boone. You won't go far wrong.
The Ana - Christian romance finally developing into a sensible, sincere relationship. This book is more normal, more mushy but definitely not the run of mill kinds. Ana's brush with Christians dark past keeps the story focused and their romantic escapades remind the reader of the regular Mills and Boons novels.
The character sketch of Christians adoptive family is sensitively laid though that of his first partner 'Elena' seems half-baked. Anastasia comes across as more strong and sensible than the first book at times her persona greatly overshadows that of Christian.
Storyline of this book is weaker than the first book but maybe the third book of this trilogy needed an intermediate to develop. I am looking forward to reading the "Fifty shades freed' soon.

If you are reading the review for the second time i bet you are in self-doubt should you invest in this book ! well i dont blame you, and you know what the people who have written reviews below me were partially correct as well.. i will give you one piece of advice ! if the writer inspired you enough to know "What the hell happened after that ?!!" trust me that book is worth buying, and ofcourse ! PLUEESE - its an adult erotica ! i bet you are not looking for improving your literature knowledge are you ?! then what do you expect the book would be like ????!!!
and how was the book ? not as bad i though it would be ! it quite fell in line with how you would want the story to go.
so go ahead. . now its ur call !
I bought this later after reading part 1. I had written a review of the former as, may be not reading this book. But as soon as i started reading this one, it just got interesting. Unraveling Grey's past and his changing behaviour. I just could'nt put the book down. Its very interesting book and though some may say E.L.James has slow writing, but it was in actual form addicting.
It definitely takes the story forward. Glad to see the character Ana move ahead. Its movement from the first book
