Dr. Balavant M. Unnibhavi has two post-graduate degrees to his credit, M.Com., Cost Accounting and M.Com., Banking. He has submitted his Ph.D. thesis to the Karnatak University on ‘An Appraisal of Man-power Planning and Development Policies and Practices in Central Co-operative Banks with Special Reference to B.D.C.C. Bank, Bijapur.’ He has been serving as Senior Lecturer in Commerce at the MGVC Arts, Commerce and Science College, Muddebihal. Formerly, he had also served for more than four years at the Nehru Arts, Commerce and Science College, Hubli, and Shri Siddheshwar Govt. First Grade College, Nargund, thereby gaining vast experience in teaching. He is a former member of the Pre-University (PU) Textbook Committee. He has written Vyavahara Adhyana, Lekkashastra and Accounting both in Kannada and English for the benefit of PUC students. In addition to these, he has written Financial Accounting Vol. I & II and Lekka Parishodhaneya Mula Tatwagalu Hagu Acharane for the degree students.
