Finger Licken Fifteen Fizzles Review by IreneWhen I read the synopsis for FLF, I was excited for the June 23rd release date. I have read all the books in the series, some more than once, and was looking forward to reading book fifteen. I have to say, by the time I was finished with the book, I felt a little let down. While I love the antics of Lula, Grandma Mazure and the other favorites, I found the plot a little...well, dare I say, juvenile. I'm used to Stephanie being a magnet for trouble, but good grief, how many cars can the girl destroy in one novel. It was overkill in fifteen. My next qualm is Stephanie's dead-end relationship with Morelli. The immaturity was cute in the first 7 or 8 books, but now that ship has sailed. I'm ready for the next boat to come in. And was I the only one who felt like a hot night of sex between Ranger and Stephanie was dangled in my face, only to be snatched away cruelly? Maybe it's time for Stephanie to turn over a new leaf and quite playing childish games with Morelli.
All in all, Finger Lickin Fifteen had a few funny moments, but not nearly as many as past books in my humble opinion. And there was too much going on in this book. There were times when I was just plain annoyed by some of the goings on in the storyline. (Stephanie's apartment going up in flames...again.) Here's to hoping Janet Evanovich has some fresh, exciting ideas for book sixteen. And maybe Ranger and Stephanie can get a roll in the hay, for old times sake.
Finger Licken Let down Review by KimAs a long time fan of the Stephanie Plum series I too was excited for the FLF release. I have to say after reading it I was totally let down. Nothing new happened in this book at all. There was no romantic spark between Stephanie and Morelli. How long can we believe that Morelli, the hottest guy in town, is patiently waiting for Stephanie to make up her mind. To this reader FLF was just bits and pieces of all the old Plum books thrown together. It's time for Stephanie to make a decision, even if it's the wrong one. Janet must keep developing the characters because there are plenty of other good books out there to read!!
