The Forest Or What Happened After I Jumped

The wind was exhilarating. My eyes watered despite my goggles as I plunged downward, paying as little attention to where I was as to where I was going, my whole body tingling with the adrenaline of freefalling. However, when the chute came out and my feet hit the ground, it became rapidly clear that something was off kilter. Not in a "gee, my stomach feels funny" sort of way, but in a "great googly moogly, I think the trees are watching me" sort of way. Don't write this off as simple heebie jeebies. I could feel their eyes on me. From that point, I left my landing spot with my apparent guide the dwarf (yes, an honest-to-God wee little bearded bugger) till I finally reached the castle where, to my great surprise, I was about to be married! You think this is crazy, wait till you meet the bride! ('Cause I haven't yet.)
