Forgive Me If I Don't Cry: A Collection Of Short Stories And Poetry

I was born in a small town in Arkansas called Glenwood. Unfortunately, I remember very little about the place of my birthI lived there for only two years. Since then, Ive lived in five states in the U.S., California being the last, finally residing in the beautiful Bay Area of San Francisco. Ive also lived in three Central American countries, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Nicaragua. Actually, home to me is where those I love are. Whatever we may possess in the way of material goods, how widely weve traveled, or how many accomplishments there are to our credit, Im convinced that nothing compares with the sweetness of a smile, the warmth of a hug or simply a glad hello from a dear friend. All during my childhood, I loved the theater, and have always loved travel, although there are still many places where I long to visit, and perhaps may still get the chance one day. Writing has been my first love among many. Since I was in kindergarten and gained my first recognition as a writer of poetry at the county fair in Joplin, Missouri, my teacher was so pleased in me as her protg that she convinced me that writing was my vocation. I think she was right In the noisy world around us, if there are others (and there must be) like me who have ever suffered the frustration of not being heard, my advice would be, write it down No one can interrupt or even disagreeuntil later.
