The book is intended to provide a purely Philosophical basis for the objectives of education. Apart from it, there is ample material related to sociology, psychology and pedagogy. The first part of the book deals with the philosophy in general and peace philosophy in particular. The second part is related to Sociolgy of Education. The third part deals with psychological perspective which contains three sub-aspects- Scope and Relevance of psychology in the filed of Education, learning theories and motivation.
About Author :
Dr. Intakhab Alam Khan obtained M.A. (English) from Aligarh Muslim University and B.Ed., M.Ed., M.Phil., Ph.D. from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Dr. Khan served Jamia Millia Islamia from 1989 to 1995. He is presently working in Saudi Arabia. He holds the position of Head of English Department in College of Health Sciences, Jazan. Dr. Khan writes in the area of English Language Teaching, Educational Management and Educational Philosohpy. He has contributed scores of articles and papers. Besides, he has three books to his credit. He has been associated with various organisations and societies realted to Education and Development. Presently, he is the associate Editor of 'Global Peace', and International Journal.
