Frontech 20 Mega Pixel E-Camera Edge Webcam

well i got the product in a bit delay....also here it is written its full hd but in reality its nowhere near to ho or even 20mp...so though the packaging looks good,,,the price,product and specifications were not upto the mark....sry but dats true

As usual I wait for the packet from Flipkart to be delivered to my house and I was delighted as always to receive it.

I set up the webcam immediately with my laptop but only to face disappointment.

On this FRONTEC webcam the LEDs were so dim that you really have to go very near to find out if they are actually 'ON". Also, there is NO MANUAL SWITCH to turn on these LEDs. There is no way I can turn these LEDs 'ON' even from the software. In effect, they are useless. The minimum illumination for a decent capture is around 220 LUX.

Their product manual says '30 fps' video capture. When I put it to test it turns out to be mere 3.5 fps video with an enormously high frame dropout rates. In my test done for 30 seconds, 109 frames were captured and as high as 801 frames were dropped with an absolutely unacceptable video quality.

There is no way to capture images and save them except doing a 'print screen'. Hence, if someone says, "Image Capture Resolution: 5120 x 3840", it is just fake.

It has only 320k sensor throwing a jerky video and interpolating to 20 megapixels with video quality which doesn't even remotely rival a Rs.1200 Chinese mobile phone cameras. So, if you expect it to be 20MPs, forget it, its far from truth.

I recommend against buying this model!!
