The Fujifilm X-Pro1 is part of the FinePix’s X series of premium and highly capable interchangeable lens cameras. Housing an extremely powerful X-Trans CMOS image sensor which is far more superior to the standard full frame sensor, giving you the capability to capture high quality images at an incredible 16.3 megapixel resolution. The advent of Fujifilm’s powerful and dedicated EXR Processor Pro makes it possible to capture extremely clear high resolution images, while also being capable of recording full HD videos at 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution at 24 fps.

Body

With majority of the body panel composed of die-cast magnesium alloy, the X-Pro1 is a precision optical instrument, built without compromise. The light weight body design that weighs 450 g including the battery and the memory card provides easy-handling, for more extensive and repeated use. The X-Pro1 features a Hybrid Multi Viewfinder which gives you the freedom to switch between an optical and electronic viewfinder so that every shot can be perfectly framed and composed.

Featuring a 3 inch high performance RGBW LCD screen with a display resolution of 1,230,000 dot pixels, this digital camera lets you view all your captured images at a very high quality. Powered by an NP-W126 rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the X-Pro1 is capable of shooting up to 300 frames on a single full charge. All the captures images are saved in the JPEG (EXIF 2.3), RAW or RAW + JPEG formats while the high definition videos are saved in the H.264 (MOV) file format. These recorded media files are stored in an SD, SDHC or SDXC (UHS-I) memory card.

The saved media files from the memory card can easily be transferred to a PC or a laptop through the camera’s high-speed USB 2.0 digital interface. This camera also features HDMI Mini connectivity giving you the option to enjoy your images and videos on a high definition television.

Performance

The FujiFIlm X mount on the X-Pro1 makes it compatible with 3 Fujinon lens types which are the XF18mmF2 R, XF35mmF1.4 R and XF60mmF2.4 R Macro lens. The auto focus system on this Fujifilm camera works using the TTL contrast detection technology to give you crystal clear images. The ISO light sensitivity on this Fujifilm ranges from ISO 100 to 12800, giving it the ability to consistently capture sharp and clear images even under varying lighting conditions.

This high performance digital camera also has an operational shutter speed ranging from a maximum of 1/4000 sec to a minimum of 30 sec. As the Fujifilm X-Pro1 does not feature a built-in flash unit, it provides a provision for an external flash attachment.

Features

To further adjust the feel and temperature of the image is the availability of pre-set white balancing settings and shooting modes that automatically detected and selected the appropriate camera settings to best suit the current situation. Also featuring a Sensor Dust Reduction system, the X-Pro1 has the ability to remove the dust that settles on the image sensor which usually causes mild distortion and deteriorated image quality.

The other very useful functions include Face Detection and Red Eye Reduction which help you capture clear and optimized people photos, while the self-timer function lets you delay the shutter release by 2 or 10 seconds, making self-portraits or group shots extremely fun and convenient. This X-Pro1 also sports a continuous mode which lets you take up to 6 fps, giving you the option of capturing the entire flow of events without missing out on the action. The availability of PictBridge technology allows you to connect the camera directly to a printer without a PC, enabling easy direct photo printing.
